RE's Next Top Model: The Scores and the Winners

The truth? All seven teams were winners for having the courage to stand up and do what they believe in, in the spirit of learning and fun. Besides, rumor has it that the clapometer was rigged and that the Rich Pictures team recruited the whole of downtown Atlanta whilst frequenting a local bar the night before the event. Anyway, this is the first time that we have had any of our RE colleagues put under pressure to do modeling on the fly at any RE conference. Not only was it great entertainment, but the noise brought the rest of the RE conference to a halt! You can see the completely contrived round-by-round scores as recorded by our state-of-the-art electronic system below. Round 1, round 2 and round 3.

The actual outcome? In a unanimous turn of events, the audience decided that the two surviving teams, Plain Old Text and Rich Pictures, should jointly hold the title of RE's Next Top Model 2009! It just goes to show that a blended approach, coupled with simplicity for interacting with the customer via a flipchart, may sometimes be the way to go when a problem is really unclear, complex and fuzzy. The proud owners of the coveted first place certificates are shown below.

The winners

Back row left to right: Smokey Ladder (aka Don Gause), Plain Old Text (Martin Glinz and Joy Beatty), Rich Pictures (David Callele), Bureau Chief IronFist (aka Brian Berenbach).
Front row left to right: Jane Cleland-Huang (host), Rich Pictures (Birgit Penzenstadler), Olly Gotel (host).

[Smokey would like to thank his personal stylist for his very authentic costume.]

As recorded by the audience clapometer (from 0 to 10 based on noise level from the audience).

Rich Pictures
Eliminated:
URN ("we needed our jUCMNav tool to do this justice!")
